Smile Joining from Cape Coral, Florida

Hello.

Brand new to aquariums. Had a 45 (+/-) gallon one that had been a terrarium long ago, snakes, turtles, whatever we found out in the woods when my son was young. It had been in a garage for a decade or so, got bored, dragged it out and started fixing it up.

So I'm on week 2 of a fish-in cycle, fresh water with a few plants. Spending many hours reading (often conflicting) advice while it runs in the background.

Wanted salt, but had no room for doing that right, so fresh it is. Will see how it goes, and how my wife likes it.

Linwood

Yeah, I'm starting to think the acronym is appropriate, my wife used to ask "Have you been to home depot yet today" when I was doing projects, now it is "Have you been to the fish store yet today".

Hope there's a 12 step program around somewhere (or maybe in aquarium addiction they call it a 12 step cycle).
