new!

New to site just looking for advice. Added new filters to my discus tank just wondering how long before I can take the old ones out.

Welcome to the forum!

I left my filters running together for about 2 weeks to make sure I had the bacteria take to the new one.

Once you get settled in we'd love some pictures. This is a very picture friendly site! LOL

I have a mix of many different saltwater fish amongst my tanks, but I love my Tangs most of all.

Someone told me to leave the filter pads in the tank for two weeks. Don't hold me to that. I'd also probably wait for someone on here with more experience to advise you too

Welcome to AA! I usually wait a month or so before switching... But I tend to be a bit over-safe lol. You'll learn a lot here!

Welcome. I left mine in for about a month too. Patience is always good in the hobby
