I just got a 32 gallon tank all set up and we introduced the first round of fish into the tank. 5 tiger barbs and 2 rainbow sharks are currently in there and they seem to be having a good time, mind you it has only been 24 hours so we will see how it goes 
After reading up on tiger barbs I get the impression that they do not do well with other fish yet I see some pretty great success stories with them so I am unsure at this point. I would like to add some more fish when the time is right but do not know what I should be looking to add and it seems every pet store tells you something different.
As I am very new to this whole fish thing I find all of the info overwhelming and so inconsistent, however this site seems to have it all going on and what better than those that have done it.
