I am in the process of starting up a 55g and when I starting filling the tank I noticed how uneven the tank was and it was leaning forward alot. I'm thinking of putting some plywood under the stand and also shim it. Any ideas. I really want to get this tank up and running as my 10 g is becoming over populated due to babys.

Plywood will work if the thickness is right to balance. If not cutting a kitchen tile might work. Make sure to level from side to side as well as front to back.
