New from Ohio

Hello everyone! We are so excited to be apart of this. My family (2 girls, husband and myself) are new to our two Yellow Belly Sliders! They are so cute and have awesome personalities that makes our hearts smile!! We currently have a 40 gallon long tank for them since they are still very little, we know we will have to go bigger in the future. We know now, we need a better filter! Mostly a canister one, we believe. Thinking of getting some live plants for them too! Does anybody know if we could feed them some veggies or fruit for a treat?
But, thanks for this forum, I don't feel like I'm along in this now!!
