Hi - I'm new to AA - been out of the hobby since my teen years (retired now) but I love animals and this will fit nicely with the other critters in my home. I don't have any equipment so I need pointers; thought about buying used tanks and filters (so I can get several going with least expense). Presently searching for a good place to buy fish. I'm really excited about starting again and see this forum as a great "life net" to avoid all the mistakes I made many years ago.

Welcome to AA! Craigslist is a great place to get most of your aquarium needs. Just be sure to test heater, filters, lights, etc. Also do leak test on all tanks.
For cheap fish, my petsmart is always selling $1 fish. So thats where I go.
