Hey everyone just wanted to say what's up, I'mNew to the forums. I just set up
A 55 gal. Fresh water w/ a jack Dempsey and Oscar, and want to do everything the right way, so I'm sure I'll be asking for advice, and when I get experience, will be giving it too. Anyway thanks and hope to talk with you guys soon. Thanks

Welcome to AA,

And since you came for advice, here you go.

The Oscar will become too aggressive for the 55 with a JD. Oscars really do better alone or in a species only tank. Oscars can get quite large, 14 inches or so, so that 55g will eventually need to be upgraded, usually suggested tank size is 75g. The JD could do fine in the 55 for a little while, they are slow growers. They rarely get past 6-8 inches, max size is said to be 12 inches.
