Hey y'all! I'm new to this site. I currently have a 10 gallon tank with guppies and plates, and I'm looking to move up to a 20-29 gallon tank. I'm thinking about getting a hexagon shaped tank or a rectangular shaped one. Any suggestions on what is better? Any stocking suggestions also? Thank y'all!!

its better to have a rectangular shaped one because it's wider so it allows the fish more space to swim and there is more surface area at the top of the tank so there's more oxygen being released into the water for the fish to breathe

Welcome to AA! :)

Both styles of tanks can lend themselves to certain stockings. What fish are you interested in keeping?

I was just thinking about adding more platies And maybe some type of tetra. Havent really thought much about it.
