Hi my name is Andrew me and my partner Laura have decided to have a go a keeping marine fish,
We have a 45 gallon tank an external aqua mania efx 200 pump, two T5 strip lights, a suitable heater, a hydor 900 l/h power head, internal and external thermometer thats it for the hard wear,
Inside I have around 19kgs of cured live rock, live sand substrate, a blue and a red legged hermit crab three turbo snails and there we have it,
I've had the tank eight or nine weeks and had no end of set backs ammonia spikes which has wiped my stock out what's listed are the survivors my tank is a work in progress I am a very patient keeper I believe the tank needs time you can't rush it,
My ammonia is now at 0ppm as is the nitrite my PH is around 8 and I have very little nitrate present my salt is at 1.024 and my temperature is between 25-27 degrees c. Thats me thanks Andy.
