New to Forum

Hi, I'm Steve from West Yorkshire, England. Getting back into hobby after 3 year break. Used to have large fish, oscars, tilapia, frontosa and lastly discus - never live plants. Now I am building up an Amazon Bio Theme tank - heavily planted, bog wood and small shoaling fish. I have added red cherry shrimp - I know they are from Taiwan but isn't everything nowadays had a few problems along the way and think being on a forum would be useful. Also good to see what others are doing with there tanks. Added a couple of pics of my tank as it stands. Cheers, Steve. [ATTACH]214599

Thanks to all AA members who have been very kind about my tank.
My biggest bit of advice to other new members, and I add this through bitter experience, is to get a quarantine tank. All new fish get 10-14 days 'solitary' before being allowed into main tank. I also cannot easily treat ailments in main tank - shrimp & corydoras would not be happy - so I treat them in the quarantine tank.
Good to have experience out there to draw on when something goes wrong - and it probably will
Steve.

Can I ask what kind of lighting you're using for the tank?
