Ok thanks one more question when cyclin do u put chemicals in there or just plain water? Do I put the sand in too?

When you start to cycle, you should add everything in for your tank except lights. Sand, Rock, Filters, Skimmer. Once everything's in, you can add your ammonia source.

This is a very good guide on fishless cycling. It was written for freshwater, but can be used for saltwater just as well:
