New to the forum

Fairly experienced keeping fish only, thought id try my hand with plants. I'll post a pic of my new set up.

The tank 55 gal.
During the day I run a dual 48" t5ho for 6 hours. In the evening I run a single stip led just for viewing.
Fluval 405 canister filter
Maxijet pwrhead forget the rating. But provides good flow in the tank.
Substrate I got from aquarium plants .com

Do you use co2 and/or fertilizer? It's the tank cycled?

I don't use co2. Medium light I think. I use two t5ho and on led 6500k light strip 4ft. I fertilize with liquid iron once a week. And use root tabs.

The tank is new but the canister filter I'm using has been established for a few years. I have about 40 fish, tiger barbs neon tetras, Cory cats, and several of the small algae eating cats. The name escapes me.
