New to the site....

Hello everyone, I'm new on here and looks like there is lots of very good advice from my browsing.
I'm not however new to the hobby but have been out of the hobby for 2 years. I just got a brand new 40gal show tank for my birthday last month and in the process of stoking it!!
I'm very excited about staring up again, I miss my old fish, which I had to give up in my break up...yup he got the fish

So any advice you can give...

Looking forward to some great advice!!!
