New to the site, and full of questions - Aquarium Advice

Hello all,

I am new to the site, and to aquariums for the most part. My fiance and I recently bought a Beta fish, and then some mickey mouse platy's. Our beta has since died, but the platy's are still going strong in a 29 gallon aquarium. Some background info on me, I'm 25 and havent had an aquarium since high school. I have recently begun the process of planning a custom aquarium, and was looking for information regarding this task. I wont go into many details here, will save that for a different thread. I am here to learn more about careing for the fish and aquarium and to learn more about building them. I dont know much, but will be glad to help out where possible.

thought about it, but am going to see how my attempt at building the freshie tank goes first...

thank you all for the warm welcome, I have already dove head first into the information in the freshwater section.

I hope to learn a lot about the care of my aquarium(s).
