newbie with a LOT of fish and tanks

Hi I recently started in the aquarium hobby and fishkeeping. my favorite fish are plecos but I also love cory's tetras and angelfish.
I definitely need advice from some seasoned veterans so I really appreciate all the good help.

currenlty I am about to purchase a water purifier so I can keep my ph low and water soft since my tap water has loads of minerals in the water the ph raises to about 8.2 if I don't start doing water changes with R/O water.

You may want to create a post in the FW getting started thread about using RO water in a FW tank. You will get some good advice on it...
