newer than a newbie!!!

Hi from the Wisconsin northwoods. Just getting back into the fishy life. Had a 20H years and years ago when all you needed was an undergravel filter and fish....Guess that ages me. Right now I'm just in the planning stages-I'm a big planner so that should be good for this hobby/vocation. Will post my plan on the getting started forum. Had meningitis in the summer and had to take disability because of the brain stuff. Have a lot of time on my hands for the fish. Had 3 jobs before so have a lot of time on my hands! My other pets are 3 dogs- shihtzu, a bichon and a chinese crested powderpuff.
Anyone know of some good books to get so much more informed than I am now? Read the articles here and some other places but would like a good book/books that I can refer to and hightlight etc.

Welcome. There are lots of books available at your local library. If you are starting a salt water reef tank, I would recommend the "The Conscientious Marine Aquarist - A Commonsense Handbook for Successful Saltwater Hobbyists" by Robert Fenner. I haven't found any specific freshwater books that I like. Most of them are very beginner and try to cover every species of fish they can fit together.
