I ran across this site yesterday while researching aquarium lighting and decided to join . I have a 40 long freshwater setup that's been up and running for 10 years. My biggest problem during that time was the constant battle with hair algae. So I decided the plastic plants that were so good at holding the growth had to go and replaced them with all live stuff. Why did I wait so long ??? Things are looking sooooooo much better ,but I gotta' confess I don't know squat about plants.

Welcome to the site. The good news about keeping live plants in an aquarium is that you don't have to worry about watering them.
