Hi folks,
Let me start by saying I'm really impressed with this forum!
I've always been fascinated by fish! My grandfather was a commercial fisherman who made his living catching catfish. When I was 5 he handed my a paddle and nicknamed me "motor"
I kept aquariums off and on for 10 years until joining the Navy in 1971.
In the early 80's while working in Indiana, I started a small commercial Angelfish Hatchery producing 8-10,000 fish per month. About a year into it a fire destroyed everything.

I set up a 55 about 3 weeks ago, that is my first tank since the fire 26 years ago.

Of course I couldn't go that long without fish!! During that period I returned home to KY and began guiding on Lake Cumberland for striped bass.

Now due to poor health I'm unemployed and can't get out on the lake as much, so it's back to aquariums!! ( can't survive without fish!!)

Welcome to AA :D You have plenty of other "old salts" on this board as well.
