Salt water freshy

Sup my name is Steve-O and I have 2 tanks one is a 55 salt water with some damsels and the other is a 35 gallon fresh water with some goldfish to feed to my future lionfish. Normally I do cars and what not but alway loved tanks. I've had tanks all my life just about but got back into them recently. This is my first saltwalter deal so I'm looking for help. I got the 55 for 100 bucks and the 35 for free so I'm just having fun now lol. Pictures will come later as I'm on my phone.

im interested in what your planning if you don't mind elaborating, were not running a skimmer since we built a algae turf scrubber, not completely sold on the whole idea yet since i have run a skimmer on every sw tank I've owned. i just keeping checking my parameters for now
