I have no idea which to go with sand or pebbles? the thing is that I already bought pebbles and I'm not sure which to choose now after reading, Starting Fresh Water Aquarium?

It's preference. What fish are you keeping? I had gravel and switched to sand. I love the sand and wouldn't go back to gravel. It's easier to clean and looks great!

I prefer the looks of sand to gravel, that is just me though.
