Seeking advice

Hi all,
Trying to figure it all out before putting my toes in the water. I am planning to purchase and set up a 30 gallon tank with live plants and one Betta. I had a 20 gallon tank until about 4 years ago when I passed it on to my daughter. One of the fish from that tank is still living and is probably around 8 years old. I have never used live plants nor have I ever had a Betta and wish to set up a beautiful, functioning tank that we can enjoy and that will provide a good home for the Betta!

Thank you all for the welcome! I went to a couple of LFS today to look around and am more undecided than ever. One of them had some beautiful plants so that is probably where I will go for those. Their fish also looked healthy. Now I just have to figure out what I want to do.

Melosu58 - what a beautiful saltwater tank! How long have you had it?
