[Office tank]

Hello! My name is Bob and I need some help. I have a 55 gallon tank in my office and was sold a catfish when it was 3" and told it would be fine in my tank. The fish is now 16" and too big for the tank.
My questions are:
1. Can anyone identify the type of catfish?
2. What is the best way to find a new home?
3. What would be a fair asking price?

The closest thing i can find is a redtail/shovelnose hybrid catfish and places are selling them for between $45-$80.
I recommend either a fish club or a website like kijiji.
Hope someone can give a definite answer.
