I appreciate the advice guys! The slow add has pretty much been the plan so far (as you can see I have a whopping 5 fish and 3 of them are basically minnows...) but I will get there.

Yes....definately listen to them. As I said, I have only been doing this since August, so I am very new to all this. And, IME, Eco is the resident expert on cycling, and I always listen to what he has to say. He has helped me tremendously over the last few months. My only expertise is in my own well water situation, and yours may be entirely different than mine. I'm sure that it depends on many factors such as how deep the well is, what kind of minerals are in the ground, and what type of contaminates the well experiences, such as the farmland, as you said. I have horses living on the surface over the well, and I don't honestly know how their fertilization of the ground affects the well water. That kind of thing. It sounds like you have a good handle on the situation though, and I wish you well in your journey with your renewed hobby.
