10 gallon sump on 55 gallon tank...

Greetings, all. I would like to add a 10 gallon sump to my 55 gallon tank.

I'm looking at a CPR continous siphon overflow, and a Danner Mag-Drive pump.

However, I'm not quite sure how many [acronym:f8d6a8d494="Gallons per hour"]GPH[/acronym:f8d6a8d494] I need, because I do not know how often I should cycle my water through the sump... I know that I need to be cycling the water at least 3 times per hour through a filter, but I don't know where I reach the point of diminishing returns--where it just becomes silly and a waste of money for the increased flowrate equipment and power to run it.

Any ideas on that, and are my equipment picks OK?

I think a 10 gallon is a little to small...?
I'd go with a 20 @ least...

Hrmm.... I have 4 ten gallons lying around... I would like to at least try it and see what happens... If I have a problem, I'll get a 20. What about my equipment though? How many [acronym:8f797cfc65="Gallons per hour"]GPH[/acronym:8f797cfc65] should I be going for?
