Anyone have one of these.........I know it says it's designed to hang above the tank but I was wondering how hot it actually gets......is resting it on the tank an option at all?

My strong guess is that you definitely wouldn't want to rest it on the tank. Gonna probably have heat issues, not to mention the electrical hazard being that close to the water.
