Hello everybody...

I am planning a sump/refugium for my 30 gal reef tank.

It will be gravity feed and a Mag 7 pump on the return. tank a look at the sketch and tell me what you think please. Is this the best route for the water? Any imput would be appreciated. Thanks

I would skip the bioballs. Mainly because they need water trickling over them to be helpful. If the skimmer/bioball chamber needs to overflow into the fuge section than the balls will be submerged. You can change the bioballs to LR(they need to be submerged) and have a better setup. Check out www.melevsreef.com for some good sump/fuge pictures.
