3-way gang valve underwater??

I was wondering if it was possible to place a 3 way gang valve underwater buried with gravel in the back of my aquarium. I have a 3-D background and no place to run 3 tubes down the sides without it looking bad. Long story short, can I place it in the tank.

I guess part laziness, and I had one laying around, I wanted to run 3 lines under the gravel off one supply line. It worked quite well.
