46 bow purchase

Lfs is remodeling and selling 46 bow with stand, light, aqua clear 70, 100w heater, and substrate.

Tank has been up for about two years...or so they say.

I did a visual inspection, tank looks great. Good opportunity to get a tank well established.

Is 300 a steal or should I invest in a new set up?

Certainly not a steal, you could do a new 40 breeder with ac 70, 150 watt heater and lights for under 200.

Stand is better than it looks. Take the laminate off and refinish and it looks really good. Problem is though, the stand's for a 70g marineland corner tank that was discontinued years ago. (I have one)

It is not a good deal though. Since it's used and mismatched, I would probably offer $100 at most.
