A really dumb filter question
This may seem like a totally stupid question, but how do I make a sponge filter? is it just a sponge stuffed into the filters exit so water flow isn't so fast, and if so what kind of sponge?

A sponge filter is mainly used in fry tanks to keep baby fish from being drawn into the filter intake
