adding a second over flow
I have a 150 gallon tank about 6 feet long I am currently cycling the tank. I ran a splitter of the pump to give a little better circulation. I think that is working pretty well I am also debating adding a 2nd over flow and contecting them together is this a crazy idea? here is the info on my filter system.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MEWN%3AIT&rd=1 or ebay item 4358747390 I also upgraded to the more poweful 6000 pump produces 870 [acronym:ddf565f86f="Gallons per hour"]gph[/acronym:ddf565f86f] |

I would get a sump that has 2 completely separate overflows. I was giving some thought to using two split overflows (two overflow hoses going to the sump with a "T" splitter, and ending up with one hose at the sump). However, the [acronym:898fb5d912="Local Fish Store"]LFS[/acronym:898fb5d912] said that on some occasions, the water can back up at the split if you have a strong flow. Just my .02
