Advice External Filters

Hi would love some advice on external filters. I currently have a 165L aqua one 850 with its original built in filtration. I'm not sure of what it requires and how I should set it up. Previously I had tetras and angel fish with my bristle nose and the filtration seemed ample. I now have 12 cichlids, 5 baby cichlids and a bristle nose catfish. The filtration seemed to be ok while they were juveniles but now they're all adults and have started breeding I don't think it's enough. Any advice would be really appreciated.

What you really need to do is times you gal/liters by 8-10 witch is whats recommended to have, most of us aim for 10. Then try to find what filters are available to you to reach the gp/lph. I like the use of one hob filter to run filter floss in with the combo of a canister.
