I have an Elite 800 in my living room that runs a bubble wall. It's quiet enough that we can sit and read or watch TV in there. My fiancé hates noisy tanks
(Right now the bio wheel makes more noise since the water level is down slightly.) I also have a smaller Elite for my QT tank to run a sponge filter (I bought it as a kit).

I have an Azoo Non-Stop double that you cannot hear even at night..AND it has battery back up. It runs quite a few hours with the current load.
