I recen added a waterfall algae scrubber to my 120 FOWLR and its already made quite a difference but im redoing my sump and stand soon and ive been readi up on the upflow scrubbers and I'm just wondering if anyone has used a diy version and if it worked as good or better as the waterflow.
Also I'm currently using 25w cfls and im wantint to switch to leds to save space and I know that 3w reds are recommended but I've seen a couple good deals on hydroponic lights on ebay that uses blue, white, red, and orange leds so wou those work as good as just reds? Thanks
