Ok. All the other tanks I've had have been without sumps. I recently purchases a 60 gallon with a sump tank...20 gallons I believe. It a three compartment, first protein skimmer, next bioballs (soon to be LR rubble when I get it up and running), and then a third compartment. I have two pumps (I imagine the big one is return), don't know where the little pump goes. Don't know where the u-pipe goes, don't know how to work this type of skimmer. Any and all help will be appreciated. I really want to make this work. Thanks in advance!

PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME CAUSE I CANT FIND ANYTHING HELPFUL ON THE NET. atleast say hi so I know someone read this and is the least bit interested. :)

The box at the end of the big white hose is you skimmer box or overflow. The part with the little notches cut out goes in the tank and the part with the foam goes on the outside. The clear u-shaped tube will connect the two. You'll have to start a siphon through it with a piece of airline. I think your small pump runs the skimmer. The big pump returns the water to your tank.
