I currently have a 50 gallon tank, and ordered the coralife lunar 130watt fixture, this is 2.6 watts/gallon. Would this be sufficient to supporst polyps, zoos, and shrooms? Tank is 21 inches high. I will mostly likely get another unit after i get married in 3 months, but money is kind of tight right now, so i just ordered the one unit. If lighting is sufficient, would placement matter, i know shrooms can probably go lower, but what about the polyps and zoos?

TIA,

Jeff

You may be okay with low-light corals like the onces you mentioned. Place them high on the rocks and stay away from and super-colored species as they will just dull with time. Good luck.

if i added a second unit, will i able to get some of the more intense corals, i am really interested in Pumping xenia, would 5 watts per gallon be enough? Would i be able to put the corals closer to the bottom after i get a second unit?
