I think you can go cheaper with a DIY. They don't say what brand/model skimmer is included, so you may need to ditch it and get a new one in a few months. Skip the mineral mud, it's just mud. Stating that they can't inlcude flexible tubing because the plants and pods won't survive shipping is a BS statement. You would also want to get rid of the bioballs and use LR rubble instead. The pumps included are also very low end. Is the return pump (825 gph @ 0') rated for your overllow?
