Well I have a 55 gallon tank that I was using to house them when I had a ray in my 100 gallon and there has definitely been some breeding going on every week or so I see another small one so they have to be breeding somehow. There was only 10 or so in there and now there's about 20 maybe 25.

I'm pretty sure they do breed with out salt water.

I thought they only bred in brackish conditions but I was corrected on another thread. People collect them all over in fresh water. Ask Jetajockey about it, he's the one who told me they don't necessarily need salt. Just depends on the species.
