Anyone heard of this??

Has anyone heard or indeed own one of these. Are they any good. They claim to be better than a UV sterilizer???.....

They say it uses bubbles (I guess from compressed air) to "bust" the algae cells instead of using UV. Sounds like another gimmick since they also call for a clean up crew. Not sure why they call them biomolecules.

Yes, I have one installed on my tank, since setup.. Releases a fine mist of bubbles - will not eliminate algae entirely, however I do not have hair algae or the typical algae issue that drives aquarists mad.. You need to install this at setup - not when you have the algae issue.

I wouldn't use a uv sterilizer anyway just big waist of money IMO
put that money towards coral or more live stock

I can see UV if you had a microbial problem but a good clean up crew will do anything else you need. Even still, a microbial fog tells us something else is awry.

It was just something I came across in a shop over here. Maybe i'll try it in the future. I'm not interested in UV's myself. I agree with you on the money but coral is no good to me, I'm a freshie....lol
