I was wondering if the apex controllers are worth it? I was debating about oredring one by tonight since they are on sale. Is it worth the $500ish

it can send email or text when there's a leak, power outage, ph change, etc

So whats the difference between the apex jr and the normal apex?

also, by monitoring some of the parameters, the system can plot the graphic chart for you

Jr doesn't have the display. other than that, no difference. you can always add more modules to your Apex should it be needed in the future

And the smaller power stripe correct? If im planning on expanding more then the regular should i just get the normal one or jr and expand from there

you can always get the Jr and then buy the eb8 with the price you save

Ok well heres the dilemma.

Option 1: buy apex controller

Option 2: buy 2nd maybe 3rd led panel, build canopy, get brs dual reactor, maybe a better skimmer, and a couple other little things

Which would you guys rather do at the moment?

#2. although apex comes in handy, I would get what is needed for my reef, such as a reactor and a good skimmer

I run a reef octopus 110 right now and it pulls out about a cup a day of really dark skim mate. Wanted to go a little bigger because im planning on getting more sps and maybe one more fish. What would you recommend?
