Aqualight Mini

I was planning on getting a Coralife Aqualight mini with the 2 9w bulbs for my CPR Aquafuge 12". I don't think I should lay the lights directly on top of the acrylic fuge as the light may get too hot? Does anyone know if the mounting legs work on the mini? Thanks

I checked this out on hellolights.com. This is what they had to say about the legs:
* The Aqualight mounting legs do NOT fit this unit, they only fit full sized aqualights (20" or larger).

I have the same light sitting on an eggcrate cover for my 5 gal minibow. It does get hot but the plastic remains rigid. A small clip fan should eliminate any heat issues if your worried.

I was looking at hellolights but I guess I did not read it closely enough . I do have some extra eggcrate lying around so I will try that. Thanks for the replies.
