Aquarium Hood

I am planning on purchasing a hood for my 10 gal. All of the hoods I've seen say "Fits All-Glass & most other brand 10 gal aquariums with frame top opening 9 3/4" x 19 1/2" " I've measured my tank and the measurements are 20" by a little over 10". My question is, will the hood fit?

Are you measuring the outside of your top frame? I have 2 10 gals that measure the same as yours on the outside. The hoods fit in the recess in the top. so are smaller.

I would remeasure the tank from the inside as suggested.
If you are really not sure, make sure you can return it if it does not fit.

It probably will fit. Mine measured the same thing and the hood for it fit.

Luckily for us aquarium sizes are pretty standardized (especially 10gal). I'm 99% sure it will fit.
