Aqueon PHs gph real?

I was at petco the other day and seen the aqueon power heads and they seem crazy. The nano is rated at 500 gph and it is seriously like the size of a D battery. Just wondering if they r way over rated. They seem nice. The only thing is they don't have magnetic holders, but it does have a clamped suction cup.

I havent used one yet, but from what I read they are good powerheads.
