my friend works at an lfs and he said that the fluvals come in all the time for repairs as well but he could only compare the service record mainly with aquaclears since the only cannisters they sell are fluvals(ppl do bring in other cannisters though). most ppl around here dont know what they're doing as well. i would say it's a good filter based on what i hear but on that same note i would personally buy an eheim or a filstar.
