my tank is 6 ft long, 2ft &1/4inch high same as width.

planning on having fish/coral reef tank as soon as everything is setup and of course the water cycled..

also, are purple lights ok for fish/coral. only plan on having a couple to make the colors of future fish/coral pop.

You want seven to ten watts per gallon . So total watts divided by total gallons.

The 3 eBay lights would serve you better IMO. You could grow anything you want with that setup.
