ballast burn out!!!

I just got an ice cap 430 ballast with the 150 gal we just bought and while I was re wiring it the unit started smoking, tripper the breaker, blew the fuse, and started to leak some kind of liquid. Has this ever happened to anyone and is it fixable or should we look at getting a new one?

Send it back to icecap. They'll replace/repair if in the warranty period, free.
