I dont have any room for a protein skimmer in the back of my tank cuz there is only like 1.5 inches of room.

Are there any protein skimmers that are not in-sump, that sit below the tank or by the tank, with tubing to the tank?

I think coralife manufactures a venturi ps that doesn't use a sump. Also what is your tank's volume, you may not even need a PS.

it is a 36 gallon, I will have life rock and maybe some corals later on.


On ebay I just won a New Coralife Super skimmer 65 Gal. For $85.00 shipped. is it a good deal?

is this skimmer quiet? should I take it, or it is not worth it?

Coralife super skimmers are crap IMO. Any way you can hang an HOB skimmer on the side of the tank instead of the back? There are stand alone skimmers, but they seem to be a tad pricey.
