Brand new setup

Ok, I'm starting with a brand new tank and I need to know what all hardware and equipment I need to purchase. I've got a 46 gallon bowfront tank.

I want to know what you would suggest from filtration on up. I plan on having live rock - no corals.

I've been told that canister filters aren't worth it in the long run.

I've been reading some threads - I see stuff about powerheads, skimmers, etc.

I am open for any/all auggestions!
