Brown patches on Betta fish

One of my Bettas has brown patches on its scales all of a sudden...just one of 5 in my 55 gallon tank..what do I do?

How old she? Is she a dragon scale? Still acting and eating good?

What is the water quality - parameters?

Temp?

Does the patch happen to be around the dorsal fin/back top fin?

Does it look dead and like mush or just differing color of scales.

Yup, dragon scale and 6 months old...she's acting completely fine, and I've seen no indicators of stress yet. And yes, the patch is on her top back fin As for the water, I'm keeping the temperature around 78 deg. F.

6 months old dragon scale female. Most likely just maturing at 6mo.getting her color. But, If your still worried about the browness. Test the water and make sure there's no really high nitrate or ammonia. Do a good water change if they are high. Usually if ammonia is high they will get a white or brown patch on the top of the head.
