Brs dual reactor questions

Hey guys

So I joined the group buy thinking of getting the brs dual reactor for my 55...is it worth it? What are the advantages and disadvantages? I don't have a sump does that matter? I already run a protein skimmer, hob filter (which I honestly think acts as a hob refugium), and a uv sterlizer (but thinking of taking this out because bulb needs to be replaced).
