built in timer vs 3 cords

What would you rather have in a light fixture built in timer or 3 cords?

I have both, and would choose the single cord timer fixture every time. LOL

I'll take three cords. I use X-10 controllers, they run off a computer program for the timers and can be controlled by remote controls.
